It is a moment of great satisfaction and happiness for me to extend my congratulatory message to MOL on its inaugural ceremony of Manzalai Central Processing Facility in Distt. Karak, NWFP. Our province is blessed with countless natural resources: not only with water and minerals, but the recently discovered oil and gas.
The province has huge deposits of oil and gas also. So far oil and gas reserves have been found in its southern parts including District Kohat and District Karak. Commercial production in District Kohat at Shakardara (Chanda) oil/gas fields started in July, 2004. After that more oil/gas fields were found at Manzalai and Makori in District Karak and commercial production started from those fields in January, 2005 and 2006.
MOL Pakistan a fully owned subsidiary of the MOL group has been operating in Pakistan since 1999. The company not only brought wealth of international experience in exploration and production sector from across the globe but also discovered and utilised the expertise and professionalism of our people; our real power ie manpower. I wish MOL success in all its future endeavours and hope that their activities will bring fruit of mutual profit for both them and our country.
