It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of the inauguration of the Manzalai Central Processing Facility. This is a vital project for this country at a time when there is a developing shortage of natural gas. I would like to thank MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Co along with its joint venture partners OGDCL, PPL, POL and GHPL for posing their confidence in the capabilities of Presson Descon International Limited (PDIL), for undertaking this project, on complete turnkey basis.
Pakistan meets more than 50% of its energy requirements through indigenous National Gas resources. Exploration and development of this sector is vitally important due to the ever increasing demand coupled with the yet to be materialised efforts of importing natural gas through pipelines. With First Gas already successfully achieved, this project will alleviate some of the shortage of natural gas our country is facing along with playing a key role in the development of the northern areas.
This is the second turnkey project that PDIL has executed for MOL Pakistan; the previous being Gurguri Field Development Project. The Manzalai CPF project was awarded to the consortium of PDIL, Descon Engineering Limited & Enerflex Systems through a competitive bidding process. Presson Descon International Ltd (PDIL) is a leading Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) company that has been successfully operating in Pakistan and Middle East North Africa (MENA) region and has provided world class services for numerous EPCC/Turnkey Gas Field Development Projects for several of the leading E&P Companies in the region.
