On behalf of the KCCI, I would like to welcome all exhibitors, delegations and participants in the 5th International Machine Tools & Automation Industry Exhibition - MTAP 2009 and 5th International Automobile, Auto Parts & Accessories Exhibition - AAPP 2009. It is certainly a pleasure to witness such events taking place in Pakistan.
Machine tools and automation industries are amongst some of the most proactive and productive industries in Pakistan's economy and need additional support to further magnify our exports. KCCI is protecting and promoting the interest of trade, commerce and industry in Karachi and elsewhere. It is striving hard to support the cause of private enterprise and to augment its contribution in the socio-economic development of the country.
It is indeed very encouraging for us to see the concern being shown by various international machinery, tools and auto parts manufacturers and suppliers who are participating in this event. Their participation assures that Pakistan has significant potential for growth and development in these industries. I can proudly say that now the time is not far away, when our capabilities combined with foreign investment, will place Pakistan amongst the leading industry players world-wide. I sincerely appreciate the constant hard work of organisers for holding these exhibitions.
