Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Overseas Secretary General Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood has said that burial of NRO is a must for survival of economy, besides accountability of those who got benefit from the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
"People were awaiting policy statement from the "President House" in this regard," he said adding that restriction on election of premier for the third-term should be lifted as per provisions of Charter of Democracy (CoD). He said that extra-constitutional steps of Pervez Musharraf era would not be tolerated.
He said that anxiety of Q-League leaders on unveiling of corruption was natural and Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi instead of criticising the Punjab government through baseless allegations should feel ashamed of large-scale corruption in his rule. In order to strengthen democracy and economy in the country, the corruption needs to be eradicated from the country, he added.
