Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Punjab aggressively promoted the politics of reconciliation and consensus on Thursday, especially in the backdrop of positive telephonic conversation between President Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif.
Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, one of the important PPP leaders and Provincial Minister for Finance and Planning and Development, stressed on political reconciliation and consensus to overcome the challenges faced by the country. According to him, the country is facing multiple problems on internal and external fronts and political stability is the only key to resolve these issues with consultations.
The Minister urged the political forces to forget petty issues and work together for the best of the country. He said that it is the prime responsibility of political forces that they should work for strengthening democratic institutions. He said that the government would solve the people's problems. He also said that the government would complete its tenure.
