Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari in the Presidency on Thursday and discussed overall political situation in the country. Matters relating to law and order situation in the country, Empowerment of Balochistan Package, the ongoing drive against militancy in South Waziristan and the status of relief and rehabilitation measures taken for the displaced people as a result of Waziristan operation came under discussion during the meeting.
The Prime minister also briefed the President about his meeting with the PML (N) Chief Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif. The President later hosted dinner for the Prime minister.
