Pakistan Muslim League-N Overseas' Central Secretary General Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood has said that there is an urgent need for the implementation of the national agenda for establishing peace in the country. He said that terrorism merely by use of force could not be weeded out; its root causes should also be addressed. In order to ensure peace and stability in the country the internal and foreign policies of Pervez Musharraf's era should be changed.
"The rulers should tell why the cities of Pakistan are target of suicide bomb blasts and innocent citizens are being massacred mercilessly," he questioned. Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood further said that the PPP had provided safe exit to a military dictator Pervez Musharraf with guard of honour who in order to save power had put the country into war of others.
He said that recent derogatory statement of Pervez Musharraf against President Asif Ali Zardari awakened the PPP but on the issue of trial against Musharraf it was keeping mum, which the people wanted to know. He said that one, who gave idea of NRO to Pervez Musharraf or Asif Ali Zardari, committed a blunder. He said that nobody would be allowed to make Pakistan a corrupt state only for saving 2000-4000 corrupt people.
