The Karachi Port handled 142,524 tonnes of cargo including 94,565 tonnes import and 47,959 tonnes export cargo including 5,779 empty and loaded containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 108,797 tonnes dry cargo including 69,915 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 2,817 tonnes oil cake meals; 2,998 tonnes sugar; 13,500 tonnes coal; 16,936 tonnes rice; 2,631 tonnes cement and 33,727 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Mercy Wisdom, Queen Arrow-II, Olympia, Bunga Raya Doa and Qatari Ibn Al Fuja'a sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz Toumer, Al-Marwah, BBC Atlantic, APL Pusan, Silver Craft and Sima Sahba are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Azuma Phoenic and YM Asia expected to sail on Tuesday, while another six vessels viz Ninos, Deren Pioneer, Ocean Host, Al-Marwah, Atlantic Dream and Balgarka are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Two vessels viz MT Johar and Al-Aqeela-II due to arrive on Tuesday, while another ten ships namely Wan Hai-51, Bunga Raya Sepulum, Samin-1, Cap Gabriel, Kota Akber, Yordan Lutibrooski, United Stars, Lucky Arrow, Lucky Carrier and DD Vigor are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 94,313 tonnes comprising 66,694 tonnes import and 27,619 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,751 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 39,191 tonnes diesel oil; 6,638 tonnes coal; 3,012 tonnes rice; 8,287 tonnes cement and 37,185 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Iowa, CV Al-Sabahia and MV Frauke sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of thirteen vessels viz Nedlloyed Africa, Kiton, Al-Soor-II, Falconia, Sound Proodos, BMC Genests, AG Ecaterini, Oriental Express, Dolphin-3, Aqua Grace, Alexi-1, Sun rise 89 and Surreal scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, diesel oil, live-stocks, rapeseeds, rice and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven ships namely CV Maersk Iowa, CV Al-Sabahia, MV Multan, MV Angelia, MV Coral, MV MV Alpha Harmony and MT Stena Chronos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, diesel oil and coal respectively during last 24 hours. Three ships namely CV Nedlloyed Africa, CV Saudi Tabuk and MV Falconia carrying containers and live-stocks are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Tuesday
Oil tanker Verma Ocean due to arrive on Tuesday, while three more container ships namely ACX Rafflesia, CMA CGM Azure and Katharina are due to arrive on Wednesday. Five ships namely CMA CGM Puget, Maersk Novazzano, SC Elemen, Tong List and Kalliopil with containers, palm oil, iron ore and coal are expected to arrive.
