France coach Raymond Domenech is almost 862,000 euros richer after leading 'Les Bleus' to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, according to France Football Friday. The French football magazine published a list of the bonuses awarded to the French football delegation for qualifying, with Domenech reportedly being given close to 862 000 euros.
Amid the ongoing Thierry Henry handball affair which led to France's controversial qualification for the World Cup at the expense of the Republic of Ireland, Domenech is no better off in the popularity stakes. In a poll Friday published by Le Parisien newspaper 43 percent of a sample of the French public said Domenech should not lead France to the World Cup.
