Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Muhib Ullah Shah, has said that Expo Centre would be established soon in Multan like in Lahore and Karachi. The project would cost more than Rs two billion in which four big auditoriums, business centres, and display centres would be also constructed.
He said this while talking to newsmen at the concluding ceremony of two-day craft festival here, on Sunday. Muhib Ullah Shah said that such types of crafts' festivals are being held in 15 different cities of the country in which skilful people are introducing their innovative works and products, which would be chosen to display at the International Expo scheduled to be held in February 2010 in Karachi.
He said that very soon TDAP would organise a seminar with the co-operation of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) regarding the preparation and products of Halal foods. Muhib Ullah Shah said that this step could help export products worth millions of dollars. TDAP would organise such type of exhibition in Multan every year. He said that delegation of MCCI would be sent abroad every year to participate in international exhibitions in which women delegation would be also included.
