Leader of Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadis, Professor Sajid Mir has demanded to impeach all the NRO beneficiaries including President Zardari. Addressing the party cabinet meeting and Nifaz-e-Islam Conference here on Sunday, he said there is no indemnity for any Muslim State leader in Islam because the Prophet (SAW) also presented himself for impeachment, if He was found guilty.
He observed that if there were Islamic law established in the country, then all NRO beneficiaries would be behind bars. He said the Constitution's clause providing security to president and governor was against Islamic judicial system, and demanded to terminate this clause. "In a theft case, the Prophet (SAW) had said if His daughter (Fatima) were involved in theft case, then she would also be punished according to law," he pointed. He further said if a common man could inquire from Hadhrat Omar (RA) about his shirt then what was the status of rulers before the Khalifa of Islam.
There is no moral reason for NRO beneficiaries to remain in their offices and they need to quit. He said now the country's judiciary is free, so the beneficiaries should prove their innocence through it rather than releasing media statements.
