The Karachi Port handled 261,608 tonnes of cargo including 198,861 tonnes import and 62,747 tonnes export cargo including 3,429 empty and loaded containers during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 193,714 tonnes dry cargo including 113,878 tonnes containerised and general cargo; 19,732 tonnes DAP; 4,017 tonnes urea powder; 14,303 tonnes sunflower seeds; 14,081 tonnes steel scrap; 27,703 tonnes cement and 67,894 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Lucky Carrier, Hyundai Commodore, PAC Antlia, YM Europe, Hanjin Ningbo, APL Guangzhou and Stolt Nanami sailed out to sea during the report period. Eight vessels viz Malbella, Euphony Ace, Aqua Star, PAC Antlia, YM Europe, Hanjin Ningbo, Thomas Mann and MT Swat are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Al-Aqeela-II, Island Green, Brother Glory and Thomas Mann expected to sail on Monday, while another two vessels viz MT Swat and D D Vogue are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Four ships namely Sima Sahba, APL Brisbane, Captain Andreadis and Gulf Tiger due to arrive on Monday, while another four ships namely Songa Diamond, Al-Wajba, Dina G and Red Sea Spirit are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 43,139 tonnes comprising 38,769 tonnes import and 4,370 tonnes export cargo was handled during last 24 hours on Monday. The cargo comprised of 14,128 tonnes furnace oil; 5,735 tonnes palm oil; 14,029 tonnes coal; 3,426 tonnes rice; 4,877 tonnes rape seeds and 944 tonnes cement.
Two ships namely MT Surreal and MT Kition sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of nine vessels viz Maersk Carollina, Nostos, Ginga Cheeta, Teen, Golina, AG Ecaterini, Dolphin-3, Aqua Grace and Alexi-III scheduled to load/offload containers, furnace oil, diesel oil, iron ore, rice and cement are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven ships namely MV Oriental Express, MV BMC Geneses, MV Sun rise-89, MV Sound Proodos, MT Ginga Jaguar, MT Kition and MV Kalliop-L are currently occupying berths to load/offload rice, cement, chemicals, rape seeds, palm oil, furnace oil and coal respectively during last 24 hours. Two ships namely CV Maersk Carollina and MT Nostos carrying containers and furnace oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Monday
Two ships namely MT Navigator Taurus and MT Malvern Honshu due to arrive on Monday, while a container ship namely Nedlloyed Honshu is due to arrive on Tuesday. Four more container vessels viz Anke Ritscher, Norasia Alps, CMA CGM Onyx and Lahore Express are expected to arrive on Wednesday.
