Chief Minister Punjab, Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has played a significant role in the rehabilitation and provision of medical facilities to the IDPs of Swat. These views were expressed by the EDO (Health) Mardan, Dr Arshad Khan who came to Lahore to receive the ambulances donated by the Shahbaz Sharif for the people of NWFP.
"We would not have been able to cope with such a big challenge had people of Punjab not provided assistance to the people of NWFP," he added. He further said that the people of NWFP would always remember the Punjab CM for his help in the hour of distress. Dr Arshad Khan further said that people of NWFP, in acknowledgement of the services extended to the people of NWFP, call him "Shahbaz Sharif Khan."
