Exporters and industrialists of Anjuman-e-Tajran have expressed their grave concern over the rise in dacoities, which has created a sense of insecurity among the business community. Talking to newsmen, Shahid Razzaq Sikka, President, Anjuman-e-Tajran asked the concerned security authority and police to take immediate steps to restore the confidence of traders and exporters.
"The culprits should be arrested and special security should be provided to protect export consignments," he demanded. According to details, a 40 feet container of J.K. Sons (Pvt) Ltd, having 137,000 yards bleached fabric rolled on tube designated to their customers in the United States got snatched a mile away from Faisalabad Dry Port on gun point.
Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmad, Chairman Faisalabad Dry Port Trust said that these sorts of activities would certainly demoralise exporters who were earning foreign exchange for the country. Such incidents could badly hamper export of our country as confidence of our valued buyer was shattered, he said.
