District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sukkur, Abdul Majeed Pathan has said that offal will be removed from all areas of the Sukkur city after Eid-ul-Azha. The work of removing and destroying offal of the sacrificial animals this year will be carried out swiftly and on scientific basis in coordination with the DDOs, Mukhtiarkars and nazims of the UCs, he said.
The DCO said that the almost 50,000 to 80,000 animals were slaughtered last year and despite hundred percent increase expected in the number of animals slaughtered this year, the administration would ensure swift removal of the waste.
The DCO was of the view that this would be possible through better planning. He said that he had also planned aerial spray in the entire city after four to five days of Eid. He also directed EDO Revenue of Sukkur, Abdul Waheed Shaikh and Taluka Nazims to visit various city localities during Eid.
