Rice, cotton seeds prices up on grain market

Rice and cotton seeds items prices were higher on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in process of trading, dealers said. On the seed side, Irri-6 Sindh low type was up by Rs 35 to Rs 2425 and good type gained Rs 75 to Rs 2525, Basmati (broken) superior followed the same path, rising by Rs 300 to Rs 3500 while, the low type did not move any side at Rs 2500, they said.
On the seeds side, cotton seeds oilcake low type was higher by Rs 15 to Rs 1075 and good type rose by Rs 20 to Rs 1100 on increasing demand by the buyers, they said. In the meantime, rapeseeds Nawabshah good type lost Rs 75 to Rs 1710 while the inferior quality stayed put at Rs 1700, rapeseed Dadulane low type maintained its overnight level at Rs 1250 while the good type shed Rs 100 to Rs 1300, they said. On the grams side, yellow peas dal Canada shed Rs 100 to Rs 3250 and good type did not show any change at Rs 3500, Gur low type retained its last level at Rs 4900 while the best type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 5500, they added.
