Administration Committee (AC) of Lahore High Court (LHC) has warned the judicial officers not to approach for their transfers and postings otherwise they would be proceeded under E&D Rules 1999. AC meeting which was held here Friday with LHC Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif in the chair.
The meeting also accepted resignation of civil judge Muhammad Majid Bashir. Final show cause notice for dismissal from service was issued to AD&SJ Abdul Haseeb Sheikh and minor penalty of censure was imposed upon Civil Judge Muhammad Ramzan. The meeting also dropped disciplinary proceedings against AD&SJ Muhammad Arshad Malik and senior civil judge Bashir Ahmad Chaudhry. While disciplinary proceedings were initiated against AD&SJ Shahid Hussain Chaudhry and Senior Civil Judge Akram-ul-Haq Chaudhry.
The meeting also decided to promote 12 Additional District & Sessions Judges (BS-20) to the rank of District and Sessions Judges (BS-21) which include Mian Muhammad Anwar Nazir, Shaukat Iqbal Ahmad, Mirza awad Abid Baig, Nazir Ahmad Gujana, Abdul Haq, Rashid Ahmad, Muhammad Farooq Altaf, Abdul Majid, Muhammad Muzaffar Ali Khan, Raja Akhlaq Hussain, Mustafa Tanvir Sufwat and Muhammad Khalid Nawaz.
Nine AD&SJs promotion cases to rank of D&SJs have been ignored are Ali Dastagir Syed, Malik Riaz Ahmad Khokhar, Altaf Hussain Altaf, Muhammad Arshad Malik, Hafeezullah Khan, Nazir Ahmad Langah, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Khawaja Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Chaudhry Mehmood-ul-Hassan. Promotions of five AD&SJs to the rank of D&SJs have been deferred which include Muhammad Boota, Muhammad Saleem, Abdul Noor Nasir, Mian Muhammad Javed and Riaz Ahmad Khan.
The meeting awarded promotion to five Senior Civil Judges (BS-19) to the rank of Additional District & Sessions Judges (BS-20). Their names are Muhammad Arif Rana, Muhammad Yaqoob, Qamar Sultan, Tariq Khurshid Khawaja and Aurangzeb. Cases of 12 Senior Civil Judges have been deferred for promotion to the rank of AD&SJs.
