President Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Anila Iftikhar said that the construction work of the building of women chamber has not started yet despite of the announcement of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. He said that district administration remained failed to find out the location for the building of women chamber.
While talking with Business Recorder, Anila Iftikhar said that commissioner has suggested the location for the women chamber far away from the population whereas women chamber should be inside the city. The chamber of men is in the center of the city whereas women have been pushed outside the city. She appealed to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to immediately give directions to start the construction of women chamber building and direct the Ministry of Finance to release funds for this project.
Anila Iftikhar said that neither women chamber is being given any aid nor any supervision. Women are running the chamber in their limited resources on their own. She hoped that women of southern Punjab would soon get popularity in the international market.
