Federal Population Welfare Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has urged the world community and OIC to extend their full support to Pakistan for its stability. Pakistan is currently confronted with serious economic constrains and also facing menace of terrorism, and the support of world community is direly needed at this critical juncture for brining out Pakistan from multiple problems, she said.
Addressing Pakistani students in Damascus she said that Pakistan is invincible citadel of Islam but some anti-Islamic and anti-state elements are trying to weaken Pakistan just for their personal gains. All conspiracies hatched against Pakistan would be fizzled out with active co-operation of the masses. The federal minister alleged that India is trying to create instability just to weaken Pakistan but all such motives and conspiracies would be bounced back.
Dr Firdous Awan further stated that Indian government is reluctant in resolving Kashmir dispute just to linger on its occupation in the held valley.
Under the prevailing scenario Muslim world should demonstrate its solidarity with Pakistan and extend its support for brining out our country from economic turmoil and to get success in war against terrorism so that long lasting peace could be acquired in the region, she said.
Dr Firdous urged the OIC to come forward and plays its instrumental role in highlighting identity and true spirit of Islam among the Muslim Ummah.
It is high time that Muslim Ummah should forge complete unity among the ranks to foil the evil designs of anti-Islamic elements as well as to get rid of the menace of terrorism and militancy, she said.
On this occasion the Federal Minister stressed the students that they pay their whole attention on their studies, as they are the ambassadors of Pakistan. Syada Khanam Tayyeba Bokhari and Allama Sajjad Haidari also addressed the gathering.
