Punjab former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi here on Sunday addressing a press conference showed to the media clearance certificates of repayment of their loans, received from different banks.
He on the occasion pointed that they had never received any loan from Punjab Bank nor had any account in the bank. Pervaiz Elahi showed clearance certificates related to Punjab Sugar Mills, CSK Previous Phalia Sugar Mills and SEPKO issued by National Bank, Allied Bank, Habib Bank, MCB, Bank Alflah, United Bank and Banker's Equity Limited.
The former CM of Punjab said that in previous Ramazan he had briefed about the depleted administrative and economic conditions of the Province. He said after hard endeavour they had increased Punjab Development Budget to Rs 120 billion. He said now the present rulers were involved to politics of victimisation and were involved in demolition of Yousuf Ahad Malik's Plaza. Pervaiz Elahi on the occasion said that presently farmers were devoid of the necessary facilities, patients were looking for free medicine facilities and there was higher inflation in almost every sector.
Former Chief Minister asked both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif to clear their position and show clearance certificates of their banks. He said that looted money of the nation should be received back and stated that present rulers of Punjab had made us under the debt of Rs 60 billion, while there was another loan of Rs 150 billion rupees on which Rs seven billion interest was being paid. He said money attained from money laundering and bank frauds should be brought back.
He said they had inducted 60,000 educators entirely on merit and added that their efforts from the Special Children were exemplary. The former CM alleged that false cases were being made against those who differed with the present rulers and added that politicians were being maligned. He said in the inquiry conducted on Robert Farm, the truth of propaganda had come out.
