Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore has said that policy of merit has unequivocally been adopted to ensure promotion of police officials in Lahore Police. He said that a well co-ordinated strategy for promotions, based on merit, has been chalked out in order to ensure that no one is bereft of his legitimate right.
CCPO said that all possibilities of interference from outside the department, with regard to promotions in Lahore Police, have been foreclosed and promotions have now been directly linked with day and night efficiency of the concerned police official. He informed that during his tenure as CCPO, over 5000 promotions have been made so far in Lahore Police, which is unprecedented.
On the orders of the Capital City Police Officer, (CCPO) Muhammad Pervez Rathore, as many as 256 head constables, borne on promotion list C-I of Capital City District, Lahore, have been promoted as Assistant Sub-Inspectors, on temporary basis with immediate effect.
