Japan has provided 15 ambulances to Pakistan aiming to improve health and medical service in Federally Administered Tribal Area (Fata), says a press release received here on Monday. These ambulances were purchased as a part of 'Non-Project Grant Aid' of 7 million dollar, on which the countries were agreed on January 2008. These ambulances, a minivan type Mitsubishi L-300; will be deployed in thirteen medical institutions situated in Khyber, Mohmand, Orakzai, Bajaur and FR Peshawar.
These vehicles will facilitate a swift transport response for the patients and injured to decrease their mortality rate. Putting a high priority on health and education sectors, Japan will provide thirteen medical institutions X-Ray Machines, Ultra Sound Machines, Auto Claves, and Elisa Machine following the ambulances. Japan will also provide school furniture such as desks, chairs and blackboards to 1,563 schools and educational administrative bodies in the Agencies of Khyber, Mohmand, Orakzai and FR Peshawar.-PR
