Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain on Tuesday reiterated that his party would eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country if elected to power. In a telephonic address to a rally taken out to condemn the growing incidents of terrorism in the country, outside Karachi Press Club, Altaf said MQM was against terrorism in all its manifestations.
He said MQM and Altaf Hussain would save the country. He said we have to face the spate of terrorism with courage and bravery. He said terrorists are the enemies of Pakistan and offering prayers behind Ulema who are overtly and covertly supporting the terrorists must be 'forbidden'.
Altaf lauded the efforts of his party workers for staging such big rallies on a short notice. He said "if we can arrange such rallies within few hours we can also wipe out terrorists from Pakistan within few hours if power is given to us." He paid rich tributes to the armed forces for fighting with terrorists and laying down their lives for the honour of country.
He expressed solidarity with the people of Punjab over the Moon Market blasts, which killed many innocent people, including women and children. He paid tributes to those men, women and children who were being martyred to save Pakistan. He asked media to boycott the supporters of terrorists. A large number of Muttahida activists gathered at the Press Club. They were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against terrorists and their supporters.
