Acts of terrorism: Nawaz asks government to publish evidence of Indian involvement
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid, Mohammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday asked the government to present proofs of Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in the country before the international community as well as nation. Talking to media men after inquiring the health of injured of Monday's twin blasts in Moon Market, Allama Iqbal Town, here at Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
Nawaz maintained that Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani during a meeting with him talked about Indian involvement in Balochistan and tribal areas, while he had asked the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to take notice of it. He was of the view that it would prove counterproductive for India, if it were involved in acts of terrorism in the country.
Nawaz further said the country was facing problems today due to taking decisions outside parliament. He said Special Committee of National Assembly would have to formulate a policy about eradication of terrorism in consultation with all political parties.Earlier, addressing a meeting of legal experts, making recommendations for a new law of accountability, Nawaz said that corruption and white-collar crime had caused great harm to the country's economy and other institutions.
'The need of the hour is to frame such a law against corruption so that any person involved in corrupt practices could not escape from law,' he added. Nawaz further said that deficiencies in existing anti-corruption laws need to be removed in the new accountability law so that corrupt elements could face wrath of their misdeeds.
