The third international power generation exhibition and conference Powergen Pak 2009 will be held on December 10, with a theme "Power efficiency; up-gradation and self-reliance" at a local hotel at Lahore. According to the organiser here on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf will inaugurate the event, which provides a networking and business opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through hydro, coal, rental power plants, nuclear, renewable, thermal, and fossil fuels etc and allied industries.
An exclusive exhibition on power generation products, alternative energy and engineering products will also be held on the occasion. A special session on coal energy and renewable energy will also be held on the occasion. Secretary Ministry of Water and Power, Pepco MD, Tahir Basharat Cheema Chief Executive AEDB Arif Allauddin, Iqbal Z. Ahmed Chairman Pakistan Power Resources, Asad Al Shah Member Thar Coal Energy Board would deliver their speeches on the power crises, problems and solutions, future targets, strategies, technological development & advancement, plan of action energy efficiency conservation and management.
