Sajjad Asghar Khan Shahani has Joined Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), (Abraaj) as Director (Govt. Relations). Earlier he was working with Pakistan State Oil (PSO), as General Manager (GM) government and Public Relations. He is a professional and trained marketing and public relation specialist with remarkable credentials and core expertise in oil marketing and management, consulting and executing multifaceted assignments and fuel trading.
He joined PSO in December 1988. During his tenure in PSO, he dealt the issues of company like retail, industrial consumer's chemical trading at different positions. After 2005, he successfully dealt the issues of company with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and other government institutions. He received the Managing Directors award for achieving outstanding results in terms of resolving long standing issues with the government.
He performed duty, as focal person on behalf of oil marketing companies (OMCs) for rehabilitation and reconstruction activities after the earthquake and was given an appreciation letter by the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Erra) for contributing and putting extra ordinary efforts during relief operations. He also received Prime Minister's award for rendering unsurpassed services for Erra during earthquake rehabilitation activities.
