On this auspicious occasion, I congratulate all the members and the management of the Central Library on its 18th Anniversary, for providing a healthy environment for the users of this great library. The signature building is one of the Landmark of DHA, is playing a vital role in promoting awareness for the use of library.
Central Library, is the leading library in Karachi, it is an emerging centre of literary and cultural activities of Karachi. It is fascinating to learn that the Library has over 60,000.volumes on its racks and that is growing day by day, it seems that the students have realised that without the use of library the knowledge cannot grow.
The habit of reading and use of library has not died this could easily be judge from those students who apply this tool to enhance the quality of their lifestyle are very successful. The schools, colleges and universities can impart academic education but the real source of knowledge comes from libraries where knowledge is stored and can easily be accessed on subject one is interested in.
Think of those big writers, philosophers, intellectuals they became stalwarts and had their name penned down in history through the extensive use of library because library was the best source. There is a saying that history repeats itself, if you do not have a library or for that matter if you have a library and you are not user of the library how will you know about the past history or the reference required to quote.
Being an ardent supporter of Library I believe it is the most important source to promote education, literature and awareness in the country. There are numerous and important impacts those results from the use of a library. To all those who want to make a name in history and documented to be stored in the library should start using the library.
