Federal Population Welfare Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has hailed the consensus on 7th NFC award and termed it a big success of the government. Talking to the media here on Saturday she said that Federal Finance Minister and Provincial Chief Ministers of Sindh, Balochistan, NWFP and Punjab had played their tremendous role in resolving longstanding issue in a democratic way.
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari were making strenuous efforts for resolving all the national issues on top priority basis, she added. Referring Balochistan package she said that it is a right step in a right direction, adding that Balochistan package would open new era of development, prosperity and bring down the poverty line, besides helping vanish sense of deprivation from the province.
President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Muhammad Ishaq Butt has also hailed the consensus on 7th NFC Award (NFC) and termed it a unique precedent and a great success of the government. He also congratulated the Federal Finance Minister and Provincial Chief Ministers of all four provinces for resolving the longstanding issue in an amicable manner.
