Different canals falling in the Faisalabad Irrigation Zone will remain close at their heads for annual repairs. Chief Engineer Irrigation Zikaullah Bhatti informed that Qadribad Balluki link and Jhang branch canals would be remained closed from 27 December to 13 January while lower Chanab canals except (Jhang branch) will remain close from 13 to 30 January.
He cleared that this closure period may be longer or shorter as find practicable with regard to the state of weather or availability of supply.
