Divisional Sugarcane Development Cess Committee (DSDCC) has approved 13 schemes of roads improvements in sugar mills areas fall in Toba Tek Singh and Jhang districts with a cost of Rs 55 million.
Divisional Commissioner Tahir Hussain has directed the concerned officers to complete the remaining improvement, widening, rehabilitation and development work of roads under sugarcane development cess fund and the development work should be got started on the projects of roads without any delay, which had been approved by the Divisional Sugarcane Development Cess Committee.
He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting of Divisional Sugarcane Development Cess Committee, which was attended by Director Development, Dr Tariq Sardar, officers of highways department and representatives of sugar mills.
The Divisional Commissioner asked the DCOs of the four districts to send the proposed projects of roads under sugarcane cess to the Divisional Committee for the final approval after giving its approval in the district committees. The committee approved 13 schemes of roads in sugar mills areas fall in Toba Tek Singh and Jhang districts with a cost of Rs 55 million.
