The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) in occupied Kashmir Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the ongoing struggle for right to self-determination will be taken to its logical end and the Kashmir dispute will be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a media interview said that the APHC would continue struggle for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute despite the hurdles created by the occupation authorities. He said, "We are committed to the Kashmir cause and pledge to continue the struggle." He urged the people to unite and foil the malicious endeavours of some anti-movement elements who had infiltrated into their ranks. "No one can dupe Kashmiris any longer," he said, asking the people to support the Hurriyet leadership.
The APHC Chairman said that the severe curbs on Hurriyet leaders and violent police action on peaceful activists on Friday were the worst examples of human rights violations on World Human Rights Day. "But such tactics cannot weaken our resolve," he vowed. Referring to the murderous attack on Hurriyet leader, Fazl Haq Qureshi, Mirwaiz said that the masses had reacted with outrage against the cowardly act and condemned it in the severest terms.
