There is a need to teach special children in regular classroom environment, as it helps them show better performance. This was stated by renowned educationist and principal of Oasis School, a state-of-the art school of the Sharif Trust for the autistic children, during a workshop here on Sunday.
She said that the educators for special children were facing new challenges at the beginning of the 21st century. She said that such children might have orthopaedic, intellectual, emotional or visual difficulties or impairments associated with hearing or learning. She said that by virtue of this practice, known as 'inclusion', many of such students learned better in regular classes.
She said that communication between school, medical practitioner and parents was of key importance for the education and training of such students.
