The Karachi Port handled 171,674 tonnes of cargo including 98,017 tonnes of import, 73,657 tonnes of export cargo and 2,825 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 98,017 tonnes, comprised 82,518 of tonnes of dry cargo including 54,761 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,196 tonnes of bulk cargo; 11,058 tonnes of DAP, 14,503 tonnes of rock phosphate and 15,499 tonnes of oil and/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 73,657 tonnes, comprised of 73,657 tonnes of dry cargo including 49,459 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,709 tonnes of bulk cargo; 20,180 tonnes of cement and 2,309 tonnes of rice. Thirteen ships namely APL Balboa, APL Sokhna, Thomas Mann, Kota Layar, UNI Promote, OEL Trust, Seaways Valour, Olympic Carrier, Patton-1, Valbella, M T Johar, Tian Wang Xing and SC Beihai sailed out to the sea during the reported period.
Twelve vessels viz valbella, Queen Arrow 1, APL Sokhna, Seaways Valour, UNI Promote, OEL Trust, Thomas Mann, TS Malaysia, Dorian, Tian Wang Xing, Kish Star and SC Beihai are currently at the berths. Two ships namely TS Malaysia and RAK Afrikana are expected to sail on Monday, while four more ships namely Mandarin Fortune, Ashraf B, AL Ihsaa and Ocean Island are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Four vessels namely viz APL Brisbane, Sima Sahba, Kota Akbar and Union Carrier carrying containers and general cargo, due to arrive on Monday, while four more vessels namely Gulf Tiger, Bunga Raya Lapan, Alliance ST. Louis and BBC Switzerland carrying LSFO, containers, units and general cargo, are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained cargo volume of 64,633 tonnes including 59,102 tonnes of import and 5,531 tonnes of export cargo were handled during last 24 hours on Monday. The total import cargo was comprised of 59,102 tonnes including 49,777 tonnes of diesel oil and 9,325 tonnes of iron ore. The total export cargo comprised of 5,531 tonnes including 3,020 tonnes of rice and 2,511 tonnes of cement.
Two vessels viz C V Saudi Abha and Heng Chang sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship M T Al-Soor-II is expected to sail on the same day. Six vessels viz M V Walse-II, M V Palawan, M V Dolphin-3, M V Suez, M T Al-Soor-II and M V Heng Cheng are currently occupying berths to load/offload rice, cement, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
A total of six ships namely Maersk Misouri, Nedlloyed America, Genie, Samho Crystal, Iron Monager-5, Ander Matt, Carmen Silva, Aeolos, Hiba Al-Nour-B and Princess Jasmine carrying containers, furnace oil, palm oil, crude oil, rice and cement respectively, are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three vessels namely C V Maersk Misouri, M T Iron Monger-5 and M T Samho Crystal are expected to take berths to load/offload containers, crude oil and palm oil at QICT, FOTCO and LCT respectively on Monday, and two more ship M T Blsize Park and C V Nedlloyed America carrying phosphoric acid and containers at Port Qasim Tuesday. While three more vessels namely C V ACX Pearl, C V CMA CGM Turquoise and C V Pago are due to arrive on Wednesday.
