The Karachi Port handled 107,127 tonnes of cargo including 73,404 tonnes of import, 33,723 tonnes of export cargo and 4,061 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 73,404 tonnes, comprised 37,404 of tonnes of dry cargo including 24,759 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,770 tonnes of bulk cargo; 3,225 tonnes of DAP, 7,650 tonnes of rock phosphate and 36,000 tonnes of oil and/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 33,723 tonnes, comprised of 33,723 tonnes of dry cargo including 24,576 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,686 tonnes of bulk cargo; 7,053 tonnes of cement and 408 tonnes of rice. Three ships namely APL Brisbane, RAF Afrikana and TS Malaysia carrying, container, bulk cargo and containers respectively, sailed out to the sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Swat, Al Ihsaa, Fatima 1, APL Brisabne, Y M Hanjin and Dandelion, carrying tankers, containers, bulk cargo and containers respectively, are currently at the berths. Six ships namely Ocean Island, M T Swat, Alliance Louis, Mandarin Fortune, Queen Arrow 1 and Kota Akbar are expected to sail on Tuesday, while three more ships namely BBC Switzerland, Y M Tianjin and Dorian are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Four vessels namely viz Bunga Raya Lapan, Alliance ST. Louis, BBC Switzerland and Annemieke carrying containers, units, general cargo and project cargo respectively, are due to arrive on Tuesday. While three more vessels namely Queeta, Gulf Tiger and Bavaria Express carrying crude oil and LSFO, are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained cargo volume of 71,210 tonnes including 48,050 tonnes of import, 23,160 tonnes of export cargo and total 2,374 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) were handled during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo comprised of 48,050 tonnes including 16,822 tonnes of crude oil; 14,833 tonnes of palm oil and 16,395 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo comprised of 23,160 tonnes including 2,343 tonnes of rice; 5,445 tonnes of cement and 15,372 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three vessels viz Al-Soor-II, M V Palavan and Maersk Missouri carrying oil tankers, general cargo carrier and containers respectively, sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship Samho Crystal is expected to sail on the same day.
Seven vessels viz C V Maersk Missouri, M V Walse-II, M V Palawan, M V Dolphin-3, M V Suez, M T Samho Crystal and M T Iron Monger-5 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, palm oil and crude oil respectively during last 24 hours. A total number of six ships namely Nedlloyed America, Genie, Oceanic Picadors, Ander Matt, Carmen Silva, Aeolos, Hiba Al-Nour-B and Princess Jasmine carrying containers, furnace oil, rice and cement respectively, are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three vessels namely C V Nedlloyed America, M T Global Peace and M T Navigator Taurus carrying containers, palm oil and LPG respectively, are expected to take berths to load/offload at Containers Terminal, Liquid Terminal and Progas Terminal on Tuesday, and another ship M T Blsize Park carrying phosphoric acid at Port Qasim on the same day. While three more vessels namely C V ACX Pearl, C V CMA CGM Turquoise and C V Pago are due to arrive on Wednesday, while two more container ships OOCL Kobe and UASC Shuwaikh are due to arrive on Thursday.
