Thousands of workers belonging to industrial and transport sector most of them were daily wage earners took out protest procession against government policies and price hike, here on Tuesday.
The protesters marched on the city roads, displaying banners and placards inscribed with anti-government slogans and speakers condemned government policies, which are destroying the livelihood of wage earners by increasing price of petroleum, atta, sugar and each and every thing.
The procession, which was organised by the Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF), Pakistan Textile Workers Federation (PTWF) and Pakistan Road Transport Workers Federation, led by Mian Shahbaz Ahmad, Rana Shahbaz, Akhtar Awan and Rana Jafar Khan, concluded in front of Faisalabad Press Club peacefully. The speakers demanded that the government leaders should stop their luxurious activities and billion dollars should be brought into the country to end poverty.
