Under Chief Minister's poor-friendly policy, maximum resources have been allocated for providing modern health facilities to the people of Punjab and all hospitals are being provided with latest medical equipment. This was stated Thursday by Secretary Health Punjab Anwar Ahmad Khan while inaugurating the newly established Rs 50 million Gastroenterology Unit at the Services Hospital.
The Secretary Health, while talking to the media, said that highly qualified doctors and staff, who have acquired training from abroad, have been deputed at the unit. On this occasion, Professor of Medicines and In-charge Gastroenterology Unit Professor Mohsan Aftab informed Secretary Health that the latest diagnostic and treatment facilities for the patients of Gastroenterology and liver diseases would be available at the unit.
He said all the tests would be conducted free of cost. Aftab revealed that the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan has recognised the unit as a training centre for the postgraduate trainee doctors of FCPS. Principal SIMS Professor Faisal Masood, Professor Mohsan Aftab, MS Services Hospital Dr Muhammad Javed and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
