Lahore Ceremony: Mr. Salman Taseer, Governor Punjab, graced the High Achievers ceremony in Lahore. Honourable Chief Guest distributed certificates and awards among 55 High Achievers, of whom 34 were global place winners and 21 were national winners.
While speaking to the High Achievers, honourable Governor, said "The role of accountancy in development is critical. Accountants add considerable value to business by driving down costs and identifying drivers of value and profitability - and never more so than in the current environment, they are instrumental in obtaining access to finance and strengthening the balance sheet."
He further extended heartfelt appreciation to ACCA Pakistan for its unwavering commitment towards learning and development of human capital in Pakistan.
Karachi Ceremony: In Karachi, the ceremony was presided by Mr. Nisar Khoro, Speaker, Provincial Assembly, Sindh.
Honourable Chief Guest distributed certificates and awards among 22 High Achievers, of whom six were global place winners while 16 were national winners.
While speaking to the High Achievers, honourable Chief Guest, said "Indeed the global recession has rendered the job market more competitive than ever before, however I advise you to look in to the future with hope and assurance. Pakistan is a land of opportunities and Inshallah with the current security threats resolved, we will, as we have in past, attract sustainable foreign investments, opening doors to opportunities on multiple fronts.
I congratulate the High Achievers, their parents and teachers today for their accomplishments and appreciate remarkable efforts of ACCA Pakistan towards development of Accountancy profession in Pakistan".
Islamabad Ceremony: Mr Abdur Rauf Chaudhry, Federal Secretary Education graced the High Achievers ceremony in Islamabad. Honourable Chief Guest distributed certificates and awards among 13 High Achievers, of whom four were global place winners while nine were national winners.
While speaking to the High Achievers, honourable Chief Guest, said "I congratulate ACCA on its first High Achievers ceremony in Pakistan.
I am glad that ACCA is performing its responsibilities towards its students with commitment and devotion. ACCA has brought in with it a fresh breeze of modernized accountancy education which has set a high standard for the rest to follow."
He added, "I congratulate the High Achievers of today's ceremony and my advice to them is to work with honesty, ingenuity, dedication and passion in their professional careers and not only benefit their respective organizations but also our country".
