Choosing how and where students should study is one of the most important decisions that they have to make when preparing for exams. Is it better to study with a tuition provider, at a home? How does one decide - from all the institutions offering tuition - which will be best suited to one's needs?
With so many tuition providers offering courses for trainees studying for the ACCA Qualification, and a wide variety of different study methods, selecting one which is appropriate for the student can be difficult.
High-quality tuition is fundamental to ACCA's growth and reputation, and ACCA does everything it can to signpost quality tuition to students, especially through the Approved Learning Partner-Student Tuition programme. Launched in October 2007, replacing the UCRS (University and College Registration Scheme), the programme gives formal recognition to leading tuition providers who offer quality tuition and support to ACCA students.
It is the platform from which ACCA and tuition providers can develop a mutually beneficial relationship, increasing the global availability of effective and innovative ACCA course delivery and first-class student support. To become an Approved Learning Partner, the institution is expected to demonstrate that it can meet challenging performance targets, representing global best practice in the provision of ACCA tuition and support.
The programme aims to:
Approve the highest quality ACCA tuition providers, who have demonstrated their success in supporting students through the ACCA Qualification. Support our learning partners in providing students with the opportunity to succeed.
The levels of approval are:
Gold Platinum

Gold and Platinum approvals are granted only to high-quality tuition providers that ACCA is confident to recommend to its students.
Gold:
Gold Approved Learning Partners have to demonstrate to ACCA that they meet certain performance targets, focused on both the way they manage their institution, and the way they manage and deliver their ACCA courses. For example, they have to provide a comfortable premises and adequate facilities, carefully monitor attendance and retention, and they must be financially viable. They must also have a knowledgeable and experienced teaching team, a structured teaching programme, and provide students with advice on study options and tutorial support.
Gold approval can be given to tuition providers who are teaching any ACCA Qualification - ACCA, CAT, DipFM and DipIFR - either through face-to-face tuition or by distance learning.
Platinum:
Platinum Approved Leaning Partners adhere to the highest standards to provide students with the best possible chance of success. In addition to meeting the Gold performance targets, Platinum Approved Learning Partners have to provide evidence of continual improvement and innovation, and must consistently meet exam results targets which are linked to ACCA's world-wide pass rates.
In working with Platinum Approved Learning Partners, ACCA aims to provide students with access to the tuition and support that they need to become ACCA members. For this reason, Platinum approval is given only to those who teach the ACCA Qualification.
