The Supreme Court of Pakistan, by declaring the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) null and void, has done a great job that would not only change the course of the political history of the country, but it would also help put an end to corruption and nepotism once for all.
The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front (PIAF) office bearers, including Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Vice Chairmen Iqbal Baig Chugtai and Khawaja Shahzeb Akram in a statement said this here on Monday. They also said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has not only restored Pakistan's image in the eyes of global players but it would help bring more and more foreign investment in the country.
The controversial NRO was actually an encouragement to the culture of corruption and nepotism that had closed all doors of progress and prosperity to the people of this country, they said. The NRO was not only weakening the relation among all the patriotic Pakistanis but was eating up the results of their sincere and frantic efforts they were doing for the country.
They added that no foreign investor was ready to put his money in any new venture for the fear of rampant corruption and now in the coming years Pakistan would become an investment heaven as all the potential investors would be able to make investment without any fear of kickbacks and commissions. "Progress in presence of corrupt elements in any society is impossible thus the business community salutes the Supreme Court of Pakistan for giving a historic verdict, they maintained.
