The College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) is establishing new centres in UAE and Kuwait to provide training facilities to the doctors of the Muslim world, while the CPSP has signed MoUs with various developed countries including UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia.
This was stated by the President CPSP Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry, while addressing the participants of six Senior Management Courses who visited the College in Lahore. Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry said that CPSP is providing healthcare facilities to the ailing humanity throughout the country.
Due to structured training, residency programme, effective monitoring and transparent examination system, the degree of this college is recognised the world over, he added. The delegation members also attended the concluding ceremony of medical education workshop for medical teachers from all over the province.
There was a healthy discussion on various health issues between the participants of Senior Management Course and the workshop. Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, Regional Director, in his briefing mentioned that more than 18000 fellows and members of the college are providing 85 percent specialists to the country, 90 percent to dentistry and more than 95 percent to the armed forces.-PR
