Promotion cases of doctors are being disposed of speedily for filling the vacant posts of professors, associate professors and assistant professors in the medical colleges of the Punjab province.
A spokesman of Health Department said that the doctors selected by Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) for various vacancies are being posted in the medical colleges according to the requirement so that besides Lahore the educational activities of the medical colleges established in other cities of the province may not affect and treatment facilities could be ensured to the patients.
The spokesman further said that all government medical colleges fulfil the rules and regulations of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and the criteria of PMDC is fully observed in these colleges. He said that Health Department is working round the clock for disposing of promotion cases of the doctors, therefore, the doctors' community needs not to worry.
