The Karachi Port handled 117,545 tonnes of cargo including 90,676 tonnes of import 26,869 tonnes of export cargo and 4,304 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 90,676 tonnes comprised 53,200 of tonnes of dry cargo including 47,582 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,628 tonnes of bulk cargo; 5,583 tonnes of steel scrap and 37,476 tonnes of oil and/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 26,869 tonnes, comprised of 26,869 tonnes of dry cargo including 14,005 tonnes of containerised cargo; 12,864 tonnes of bulk cargo; 8,997 tonnes of cement and 3,113 tonnes of rice. Five ships namely Atlantic Navigator, Hammurabi, APL Dalian, Kota Hakim and Southern Condor sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Kota Lambai, Sima Sahba, MT Johar, QSM Dubai, Hanjin Gdynia, Bourbon Adelaide and Mercini Lady are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Kota Lambai, Patriot and Sima Sahba are expected to sail on Wednesday, while five vessels viz Hanjin Gdynia, Mercini Lady, Bunga Raya Sambilan, MT Johar and Cathrina are expected to sail on Thursday. Two vessels viz MT Swat and Saigon Express due to arrive on Wednesday, while six ships namely Quetta, Hyundai Commodore, MSC Germany, APL Sharjah, Rising Phoenix and Talishman are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 66,117 tonnes of cargo including 47,575 tonnes of import 18,542 tonnes of export cargo and 2,267 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 47,575 tonnes including 29,500 tonnes of furnace oil, 1,800 tonnes of chemicals and 16,275 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 18,542 tonnes including 4,358 tonnes of cement and 14,184 tonnes of containerised cargo. Five vessels viz MV Ander Matt, MV Suez, MV Princess Yasmine, CV Nedlloyed Europa and CV CSAV New York sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Seven vessels viz CV Nedlloyed Europa, CV CSAV New York, MV Aeolos, MV Green Line, MV Princess Yasmine, MT Fair Spirit and MT Sichem Marseille are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
A total number of seven ships namely CMA CGM Jade, ACX Jasmine, Mare Phoenicium, SC Liaoning, Gas Solawesi, Carmen Silva and Leopard-B carrying containers, chemicals, LPG, rice and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Four vessels viz CV CMA CGM Jade, CV ACX Jasmine, CV Mare Phoenicium and MT Gas Solawesi carrying containers and LPG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
TWO SHIPS: Chemicals carrier Jbu Mass and Edible oil vessel Gemini due to arrive on Wednesday, while two more ships: Oil tanker Al-Soor-II and Container ship NYK Kai are due to arrive on Thursday. Two vessels viz Maersk Novazzano and MV Pancaldo carrying containers and general cargo are due to arrive on Friday.
