Government to undo 17th Amendment soon, Gilani assures Nawaz

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has assured Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif that the government would soon abolish 17th amendment. The Prime Minister telephoned Nawaz Sharif and congratulated him on his birthday and said that the nation would soon hear good news about the abolition of the amendments made by the dictators in the past.
Gilani hoped that during the forthcoming year both the major political parties of the country would jointly work to take the country out of the present challenges, strengthening of the democratic institutions, bringing prosperity and progress to the country and ensuring well being of the masses.
