DCO Saeed Wahlah has directed the TMOs to keep maintain adequate arrangements of lights at important and sensitive processions and Majalis in the night, any negligence and lethargy in this regard would not be tolerated and concerned TMO would be placed under suspension in case of non compliance of these instructions.
Presiding over a meeting, he directed that the alternative arrangements of electricity should be remained active due to power outages at night hour. He further directed that sufficient quantity of gas lamps should also be arranged besides arranging heavy-duty generators. He said that the light at night in the Muharram gatherings could not be ignored for making the security arrangements a success.
The DCO expressed his concern over the walk chalking in some areas and directed the TMOs that the walk chalking of any kind should be erased immediately. He stressed that the staff of the TMAs should be remained with the Muharram procession till the culmination of the event. He directed that the emergency services should be stationed on high alert near the processions and majalis. The meeting was attended by DOC Liaquat Chatha, EDOR Ziaul Haq, DOR Mubashar Shah, DDOsR, TMOs and other concerned officers.
