The times we live in are the most uncertain of times faced by our nation. Our soldiers are fighting the menace of Taliban. They are paying in blood...and this time their children were targeted too. COAS Genernal Ashfaq Kayani has made it clear that "we will live and die in the name of Islam".
Which should send a clear message that we are not amongst those who will run away or divert from religion, come what may. The enemy is no longer discriminating between security personnel and civilians. It is a war that we need to fight as a nation.
This demands an attitude-change on our part. We should be vigilant and on the lookout for any suspicious activity and should not only thank God that we are safe. The Army, alone, cannot rid the nation of the Taliban. Every citizen is a soldier when it comes to the defence of the country.
