Federal Minister for Youth Affairs Shahid Hussain Bhutto paid glowing tributes to the unforgettable contribution of visionary leader of the country Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. In his message on the 2nd death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on December 27, he said that she was a great daughter, mother, sister and leader of the nation, who always was an inspiration for the women in this era of challenges and competition.
"She was a brave daughter of a brave father and struggled for the revival of democracy and for the rights of the people throughout her life," he expressed. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was an international stature leader and was an identity of Pakistan, he added. Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life to liberate the country from the clutches of dictatorship and revived true democratic system in the country," he added.
The minister said Benazir Bhutto always considered masses the most powerful source. Shahid Hussain Bhutto said that the PPP leaders were committed to complete her mission. "Benazir Bhutto wrote in her book that she was following the principles of reconciliation and it was only way to bring Pakistan out of crisis," he said.
He lauded Benazir's political vision, wisdom and bravery. The present government has adopted growth oriented policies and programmes to eliminate poverty, which BB termed the root causes of terrorism and extremism," he pointed. He observed that the best way to pay tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her death anniversary is to renew commitments to follow her thought provoking and revolutionary ideas for the country's progress.
"Being affiliated with PPP, we are continuing our mission to put the country on path of progress, following the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto". Before Benazir's return to the country, she repeatedly said that Pakistan was under threat and there were forces that wanted to weaken the country, the minister recalled. Her revolutionary ideas will remain alive in the hearts of the people, he said.
