The Karachi Port handled 97,421 tonnes of liquid import cargo including 58,419 tonnes of import 39,002 tonnes of export cargo and 3,517 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 58,419 tonnes comprised 54,419 of tonnes of dry cargo including 31,964 tonnes of containerised cargo; 22,455 tonnes of bulk cargo; 2,040 tonnes of DAP; 1,076 tonnes of oil cake meals; 12,400 tonnes of coal and 4,000 tonnes of oil and/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 39,002 tonnes comprised of 38,502 tonnes of dry cargo including 29,274 tonnes of containerised cargo; 9,228 tonnes of bulk cargo; 7,267 tonnes of cement; 1,961 tonnes of rice and 500 tonnes of oil and/liquid cargo. Eight ships namely Irish Sea, Allience Norfolk, Agnes Scan, Olympia, Daffodil, APL Pusan, Pulau Cebu and Bunga Raya Dua sailed out to sea during the reported period. Eight vessels viz Bunga Raya Dua, Allience Norfolk, Daffodil, Agnes Scan, Al-Kavther, Maersk Texas, Sima Sahba and OSM General are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Pacific Express, Freedom, Maersk Texas, OSM General and Kota Handal expected to sail on Wednesday, while two vessels viz Sima Sahba and Maa Samuda Khatun are expected to sail on Thursday. Four vessels viz Wan Hai-510, Cap George, Hyundai General and Bunga Raya Sepuluh due to arrive on Wednesday, while two ships namely Bow Star and Anne Sofie are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 58,845 tonnes of cargo including 39,107 tonnes of import 19,738 tonnes of export cargo and 2,909 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 39,107 tonnes including 10,888 tonnes of furnace oil; 7,294 tonnes of palm oil and 20,925 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 19,738 tonnes including 1,570 tonnes of cement and 18,168 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four ships namely MT SC Haikou, MT Genie, CV Nedlloyed Africa and CV MSC Sudan sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MT Java Palm is expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
Eight vessels viz CV Nedlloyed Africa, CV MSC Sudan, MV Aeolos, CV Carmen Silva, MV Green Line, MV Princess Yasmine, MT Java Palm and MT Genie are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. A total number of two ships namely ACX Rafflesia and Leopard-B carrying containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three container vessels viz ACX Rafflesia CMA CGM Jamica and CV Norasia Balkans are expected to take berths at Container Terminal on Wednesday. Two container ships namely New Delhi Express and Al-Mutanabbi due to arrive on Thursday, while two more container ships namely Maersk Novazzano and MSC Hanne are due to arrive on Friday.
