While welcoming inquiry against the Chairman Evacuee Property Trust Board, (EPTB) the Human Rights Society of Pakistan (HRSP) has offered its services in probing the Board's malpractices. HRSP Secretary General, A. M. Shakoori told newsmen here on Friday that the Prime Minister had ordered an inquiry in November, 2009 as a number of Evacuees' property allotments were made illegally.
The body was headed by former Federal Law Minister and Senator S. M. Zafar with its Headquarters in Lahore. Shakoori said EPTB flats in Lahore and Rawalpindi were rented out through non-transparent way. A number of affectees have approached the courts in Rawalpindi and Lahore recently.
