Three people including a woman and a minor girl were killed and one other injured when a fast moving truck rammed down a motorcyclist in New Karachi on Saturday, sources said. Kamal 43, son of Salamat Ali with his wife Asma 35 and two minor girls one-year-old Laiba and five-year-old Mariam was on way to his home when a speedy truck near Noor Masjid, New Karachi No 04 ran over by them.
"Kamal his wife Asma and Laiba were died on the spot while Mariam luckily escaped during the deadly incident," the sources said. Sources told Kamal arranged stalls in weekly bazaars and residing in house no.3/77 Sector 4-F North Nazimabad. After the incident, the area residents have beaten the truck driver Gulzada, who was trying to flee and later handed him over to the police authorities.
The police took driver and truck into custody. Meanwhile, officials in Bilal Colony police station told a truck no. DL-8847 rammed down a motorcycle no. MNA-7805 when suddenly appeared on the main road from congested streets. However, the police have not lodge any case against the truck driver till going to the press.
