NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Sunday visited the Lady Reading Hospital and inquired about the health of injured victims of Lakki Marwat suicide explosion. The Chief Minister went through different sections and wards of the hospital and met with the injured victims of Lakki Marwat blast and their heirs.
He directed the hospital administration to provide best medical facilities to the injured. He also directed the authorities concerned to expedite process of compensation to help minimise economic difficulties of the blast victims. Hoti said that families of the victims could not be left in the lurch. He also directed the NWFP Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah to construct a state of the Art indoor volleyball complex and name after the Shuhada (martyrs) of Lakki Marwat, besides constructing a Shuhada monument at the site of the deadly blast.
The CM, on this occasion, informed that he planned to visit Lakki Marwat to express solidarity with the victims' families but due to bad weather, he preferred to visit the hospital. He also paid rich tribute to the players and their relatives for showing patience. The Shuhada of Lakki and their sacrifices would be remembered for long, he expressed. He said that the terrorists have attacked the innocent players in frustration and the culprits would soon be brought to justice.
On this occasion, Sports Minister said that he would soon visit Lakki Marwat for groundbreaking ceremony of volleyball ground as desired by the Chief Minister and a state of the art volleyball complex would be constructed for people. Shah pointed that Lakki is famous for producing good volleyball players in the past and such talent would be encouraged in the future and will be facilitated with the construction of the said complex.
The CM was also accompanied by Senior Minister Rahimdad Khan, Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar, MPA from Lakki Ms Sadaruddin, Minister for Labour Sher Azam Khan Wazir, PML (N) leader Anwar Kamal Marwat and Chief Executive LRH.
